Re:       Notice of Board Action on Resolution Adopting Rules and Regulations Regarding Delivery of Water Services and Contracts

Dear Water Customer:

            The Chandler Heights Citrus Irrigation District   (The “District”) was formed as an irrigation district under Article 13 § 7 of the Arizona Constitution and A.R.S. § 48-2901, et seq., over 70 years ago to provide a secure, steady and safe source of water for the properties within the District boundaries.   Over the last 70 years, the District has diligently maintained, improved, and protected its wells, pipelines, easements, and other facilities, including addition of domestic water services.   Also, over the past 70 years, much has changed in and around the District.   In order to continue to fulfill its mission and insure the continued success of the District must consider its existing policies and procedures, and take those actions necessary to adapt to the changing times and circumstances.

            The District acts through its elected Board of Directors (the “Board”).   Under the authority granted to the Board under A.R.S. § 48-2901, et seq., including specifically A.R.S. § 48-2978, on December 12th, a t6:00 p.m. at the District Office, 26651 S Valencia, the Board will consider a resolution adopting new rules, regulations, and water service contracts.   Those rules and regulations deal with a variety of issues, including customer responsibilities, conditions of service, protection of District easements and access, rates, payments, penalties, and specifications for installation of water meters and lines.   Copies of the proposed rules and regulations, which include the new contracts, are available at the District office during its normal business hours.
